Club La Luna at Comico, Sept 10

Comico is starting a new club night -- Club La Luna, and I'm coming out of semi-retirement to be one of the resident DJs. Even though its meant more for late night chills and spills than shaking it on the dancefloor, we've taken our inspiration from classic clubs of the 70s, 80s, and 90s, like "CBGB's" (NY punk), "The Roxy" (dub reggae meets UK punk rockers), "Hacienda/Factory" (post-punk Manchester scene), etc.. The first night is this Saturday (Sept 10, 2300-0130), where I'll be playing early eighties synthpop. Only trouble is I can't think of a particular club that epitomized this era/genre (let me know if you have any suggestions). I hope to see you there. Mention this blog post, and I'll give you a free pass to Tivoli for the night.

A sample playlist follows the jump. Here's some ideas I have for the playlist so far. (Ever noticed how many synthop classics are questions... Why? Do you really want to hurt me? Who needs love like that?!)
